Default Windows XP Home Edition OEM and Service Pack 2 .....


I recently installed Service Pack 2. I want to know how to uninstall the unnecessary programs that are installed on my computer.

eg: Windows Movie Maker 2, Administrative Tools, Accessibility, Hyperterminal etc.

U cannot uninstall this programs from windows XP
Windows Movie Maker 2, Administrative Tools, Accessibility, Hyperterminal etc. , since no uninstall module is given by Microsoft. Microsoft has intregated this softwares in Windows XP and is the part of Windows XP itself. This are not additional softwares like Windows Media Player, which ofcourse you can uninstall. BTW. this programs do not eat too much memory and are NOT unnecessary programs.

you can uninstall all those components ,u will have to use nlite.

Some programs bundled with Xp can be removed. To remove those,

Goto Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs. Now click on the "Add/Remove Windows Components" button. Here you can enable/disable the windows components.
