Exclamation Dvd Video Problem.....

I have a Dual Layer DVD of the movie DDLJ.When I insert the DVD into my drive and manually open the VIDEO_TS folder and open any .VOB file then the video displayed is blurred as if the DVD has many scratches but if I re-insert the DVD and in the autoplay menu select "Play DVD Movie" option then everything works fine and the video quality is at its best.

The DVD also has two other folders named AUDIO_TS(empty folder) and JACKET_P(contains three .MP2 files). These flders are found in all DVD movie DVDs.What are they for??? and waht is the use of the .BUP and .IFO files in the VIDEO_TS folder ( for example: VTS_01_0.BUP and VTS_01_0.IFO )
