Default Malware Issue

My laptop got infected with the malware olhrwef.exe. Although Malwareytes' Anti Malware and Ad-Aware are able to detect the malware and consequently delete the same, still the malware is appearing once again after the laptop is restarted. What can be the possible cause and a remedy for the same?

Thumbs up Re: Malware Issue

May be the source file is still not clean and it runs everytime u start ur Laptop. Uncheck any un-necessary programs in ur startup list and clear system restore file.

And try booting again.

Unchecking the file from msconfig does not helps. The file again activates itself on next boot.

Allright, install Ccleaner.
Goto Tools.
Select Start-up button, this will show u all the start-up items in list.
Select the naughty file entry and just select "delete".

If that doesn't help also, do as mrintech says or, scan with Avira or Kaspersky2009 with latest updates.

If possible post a hijackthis log.

Yes, "SUPERAntiSpyware" shud do it OR "Trojan Remover" is a good option too.

Also, check "Scheduled Tasks" from "Control Panel" for any entries
