i have used windows blinds but it was complex!

Download and install latest version of Vista Mizer.
it is perfect pack for transform more closely to windows vista.
Also uninstalling is easy than VTP.

Do not use it, it slows down the PC, A LOT.
Instead go to VGs site and do his transformation tutorial(recommended)

From my personal experience:
I a using a compaq lapy with only 256mb of RAM!!!!! 
and my OS is winXP pro with service pack 3(from digit dvd)
and I am using a software called "Vista Inspirat 2"
while installing this pack you will be asked to install the pack as typical,classic or full...check the full and install it.....and see the magic....it will be as cool as vista....blv me....

Vista Mizer is better than VTP, VTP caused some audio probs in my lappy, Vista Mizer rocks on the other hand.

I highly recommend windowblinds, and I fail to see how you find it complex...
and BTW all these shell replacements have a high rate of crashing your programs and/or computer.

anyways the site i prefer is www.themexp.org
It is a site that is more of an advertising front for stylexp software but if you have the uxtheme patched up then just download any theme from here and click the .theme file to apply it
Another site that has been recommened to me was deviantart although i have not been there it is considered to have the best themes available
