Default Why only games are freezing?

 Hi to everybody
Can anybody tell me the reason why following things are happening?

My config is

Intel P4 3.2 HT on ASUS P4P800 Deluxe Wireless Edition,
512 X 2 Kingstone 400 MHZ DDR RAM in Dual Channel Mode
ASUS ATI RADEON X800 PRO 256 MB Card with Latest Catalyst Drivers
HITACHI 80 GB @ 7200 rpm Deskstar
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS
SMPS 400 Watts VIP

Problem is whenever i try to run any game (Call Of Duty, Unreal Tournament 2004, Doom 3)on this machine, after some time monitor freezes and also HDD led also stops flickering so i have to restart my computer but when computer restarts no disk check is performed..........whenever i run computer without playing any game it wont freeze

So what is the problem can anybody figure it out
Is there any conflict?
Or my cofig is upto the mark for current games

U can get Direct-X 9.0c in th Sep. Digit DVD. However, if ur games run fine on th other card, th problem might lie in th X800 Pro card. Get it checked by th dealer.

Well then the graphic card is the culprit here.If you geforce Fx worked fine then i suppose your graphic card has to be tuned a little bit use some tweak utilities from the official Ati Website.

Hi bhalchandra, monitor freezes can be due to various reasons

1) problem in monitor itself
2) graphics card not working well
3) cpu overheat, get ur fan checked
4) memory problems

i will suggest u contact ur dealor immediately if u r under warranty, tell him to run a thorough test of each and every peripheral on ur comp for their working efficiency,
i thnk this shuld solve ur problem

I think something wrong with the fan and your CPU gets overheated.

Thanx 4 u r help so i finally decide to give my graphics card to my vendor and waiting for his reply...........But i want to tell all the guys who are using or not using the ATI cards that if u want see the eye candy 4 games like UT2004, Call OF Duty, NFSUG Or for DOOM3 then please see the Demo on Ati Radeon X800 card and u will find that there is tough competition ahead of NVidia...............
I am not in anybody's favour because i used both brands of cards and i thoroughly enjoyed from there performance..........
Give me u r suggestions......
