Angry XP Woes : Laggy System

Hi guyz I'm facing a strange problem
My XP windows lags before executing anything
I'm on C2D with 2 Gb DDR2 800MHz running in realtime Avast & ZoneAlarm Pro

Anything I double click isn't opened instantly but after few seconds as if system is jammed
All inputs appreciated
BTW i've tried all type of registry defrags & compressions & removing temp files
Even I've tried optimizing services but in vain

Have u scanned with antivirus & antispyware, do a full scan.

And don't use zonealarm (My opinion) or remove it from startup & see what happens.

Try system restore if you are out of options. use COMODO firewall the best around now.

Clean system RAM

Remove Zonealarm and go for a scan with: http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html

Can't remove ZA guyz
Comodo is free but I don't prefer it because I'm not comfortable with it
Its too much advanced, with options messed up (Don't Mind)
I don't think with that amount of Ram on XP system there should be any problem
No virus is there checked all processes

Can I Monitor time taken by my processes ??

Lightbulb Re: XP Woes : Laggy System

Does the system lag even if ZAPro is shutdown?

You can try:
1. Set ZAP to receive program updates manually
(Overview > Preferences > Check for Updates > Manually)

2. Set ZAP AntiSpyware's automatic update to manual
(or set it to update automatically every 24 hours instead of the default 3 hours)

3. Turn off ZAP's realtime AntiSpyware.

4. Using a pirated key with ZAPro v8.x, causes some system lag. Try a genuine key.

I think if I would have pirated this thing then I must have gone 4 full security suite rather than ZA pro
I uninstalled it & now using Kaspersky . Shear wastage of money grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...!!!
