USB partitioning on XP_sp3

Hi,

I don't understand this, why are the options for creating and deleting grayed out? I created more(fat32) using Linux, but only the first partition ( named Bootstick) is read by Windows, rest are not mounted at all. So I deleted all other paritions using Linux and now this.



All I can do is format this parition, but not delete, and can't do anything on the free(unallocated) space.

Sorry if I have forgotten any basic things for Windows. Any ideas?

By default, flash drives contain a removable media bit (RMB) that tells Windows XP/Vista that the flash drive is removable media. In order for Windows to see more than one partition on the flash drive, we must flip the removable media bit on the flash drive to off.
