Create DVD having transition effects alongwith original images directory

Hi,

I have a lot of digit images & want to share them with my friends by the means of a DVD. I will be creating a DVD having transition effects along with background music.

I tried Nero vision 5 but it created an .dat file and burnt it on to a cd. But I found the cd not to my liking. It downgraded the resolution of all my HD pics and also it didn't create a directory of the original HD pics under the CD. I need the directory as my friends need to print some pics. This is the most essential.

Is there any software you know which will let me do the above?

Plz reply soon, as I need to create the Dvd within coming days.
