Default Woofer not working in Philips 5.1 Speakers


I have Win XP SP2 installed . I am having Acer 5500 with Intel 915GM motherboard.
RealTek Audio AC97 drivers ....

I am having Philips 5.1 speakers ......

I have updated all the newest drivers from Intel site as well as realtek ..My prob is that when I play any mp3 song woofer is not giving any sound and sound is coming through 4 speakers only ....

I have selected 5.1 Speaker surround sound in windows in CTRL Panel still no use

PLease Help !!

PS: This woofer works very fine in Ubuntu 8.10

Have you tried the drivers from the acer site?
http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers...k/as_5500.html
Try updating the chipset and soundcard driver from there if your notebook is Aspire 5500.

No No, its just a custom title. I am not banned . Like A D M I N was a custom title. You too can try it.

j_h Rocks !!! Thanks buddy..By installing new Realtek driver from acer site woofer is working ...yooooooo hooooooooo
