Exclamation Need for Serious Gaming

Laptop Config: Dell XPS M1530, Core 2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz, 6MB Cache, 4GB 667MHz RAM, 256MB Nvidia GeForce 8600GT, 1440x900 Screen Resolution, 320GB HDD.
OS: Windows Vista Ultimate x86 SP1 with DX 10.1.

Problem: I recently purchased this configg'd lappy, but some sort of unsatisfied. I ran Crysis but it ran hardly on 800x600 res. and no antiliasing and all the settings to medium. Still I don't see what I expected.

1. Is 8600GT an old fashion for new games like Crysis?
2. Or may be I need to install some software updates on my lappy which enhance gaming experience, if yes then please tell me.
3. Is it possible to upgrade 3d card to 8800 ultra or something like that, if yes then how much it can cost?
4. Vista system rating shows 5.1, recommended system setting for Crysis is 5.0, still Crysis doesn't run up to my satisfaction, am I doing something wrong?
5. Will I be able to play GTA 4, releasing 3 days later?

laptop gaming != serious gaming, unless you have an Alienware or Dell XPS 17" with SLI graphics

1. laptop gfx chpisets have less clock speeds than the desktop counterparts so 8600M (M=Mobile) doesnt have the same performance like 8600GT desktop card. and when it comes to CRYSIS, it will bring even a powerful rig to its knees

2. go to dell website, use your service tag and get the latest drivers or download from the site mentioned by amitava

3. laptop gfx chipsets can't be upgraded

4. refer above post

5. yes, you can also check in http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest

did i make a serious mistake then, i mean i never imagined more than 8600gt on a laptop but it seems asus g50, alienware are giving all i wanted. i purchased that config in 74k. seems like made a huge mistake.

Could i get a better laptop in 74k, better i mean in every respect? Is dell has any benefit over these laptops for gaming?

oh yes i checked alienware website, this config with them will also be ~ of same cost and even somewhat more. xps 1730 goes into lacs and i have no info about asus g71, will that also go above 1 lac, if they give 4gb ram, t9300 and more than 8800gt?
