Smile Windows systten not running,means?


whenever i tries to run the help and support tab or system information through programs>assessaries>system tools> or throug the run tab by typing msconfig,it says "Windows cannot open Help and Support because a system service is not runnung
To fix this problem,start the service "Help and support" showing Help and support error"

i cannnot access both help and support tab and system configuratiaon,why?

Please assist me

You help and support service might be stopped or disables. You can start it by
start->control pannel->administrative tools->services and check for the related sevice is it running or disabled. if disabled the right click on it, go to properties and enable it from there.

or you might have installed xp form a customized cd which the shopkeepers make to minimise the time/size of installation. (pirate ones)

download this files - extract it run it

Start->Run->Services.msc (type it)
Find the Help and Support key. Double click it and set it to Manual/Automatic

wekk,guys,it might help

Good morning frens,

i couldnot open help and support tab

it says windows cannot open helpctr.exe,pls trying by search tab

when i try have system info,it dosnot open it says windows cannot open help n support because windows system service is not running

i searched from services.msc from run tab,the help and support tab doesnot exist
Dear Slugger,
i have installed help and support registry also it coulnot help

Services.msc and found help and support tab,
Coulndot Start the Help and Support Service on local Computer
Error 1083:The excecutable program that this service is configured to run in doesnot implement the service,.

when i look into msonfig,it shows that this service is stopped,
