windows protection error . urgent help needed

whenever i start the win 98 FE it gives an error message windows protection error . you have to restart your computer

the os hangs after that

what should i do ?

i reinstalled it 4 times then also th same problem presists

is there any boot sector virus ?

if yes then how do i solve it?

is there any ms-dos antivirus

Hopefully have you tried contacting microsoft tech support. Hopefully you are installing from a clean/original disc?
