Win XP Professional Services

Hi All,

I have XP Professional installed in my desktop.
But there are so many process running in the background that CPU usage is about 80-85% without using any applications..?????

My primary usage is watching movies, playing games, browsing & sometimes doing some codings in Visual Studio 2008.

Please guide me so that I can shutdown some of the processes which are unwanted without hindering my requirements as mentioned above.

Please Guide.

Insufficient info dude. But you should 1st go about either uninstalling what you dont really need... and then preventing things that you dont absolutely need from starting up... you can usually do this from within the programs interface. Rest will start after you do these basic things.
