Question Vista Services

Hi All,

I have Vista Basic installed in my laptop.
But there are so many process running in the background that CPU usage is about 80-85% without using any applications..?????

I tried randomly shutting down the services in the background but one of the services is essentins for my reliance datacard as I am using reliance wireless internet connection.

My primary usage is watching movies, playing games, browsing & sometimes doing some codings in Visual Studio 2008.

Please guide me so that I can shutdown some of the processes which are unwanted without hindering my requirements as mentioned above.

Please Guide.

Thanks
