Question windows Xp sp2 Booting problem

Friends iam using windows Xp sp2.When i switch on my PC in the start up screen it displays press F9-fast recovery.Del-Bios setup but when i press del or f9 or any other keys dont work at all .Later after that screen it does not boot inside. But when i just remove the ram and put it back again it starts working fine.

so every time i switch on the system i have to remove and put the ram back
I have formatted my pc but still the same problem continues
Is it hardware problem or software??

pls help me to get rid this problem

The problem is not with ur OS, but with ur motherboard battery, somehow ur BIOS is unable to remember settings.
Check ur motherboard battery, in addition check ur RAM (though I don't think theres any problem with RAM, but theres a lil chance of it).

Mobo battery seems to be giving the problem, replace it (costs about 20 to 30 Rs)
