Question how to setup vnc viewer over an airtel broadband connection

pls tell me how to configure a vnc viewer over a static ip address airtel broadband... becoz some of my friends needs assistance from me to troubleshoot their system, and it would be time saving for me to troubleshoot their system over the net from my system itself....

VNC wont work on airtel...... Even I do a lot of troubleshooting for my friends....... and I use LogMeIn for that and it really is good....... lets me take the entire controll of the desktop and without much of a lag......

TeamViewer

easy to setup & take control

there's an option, you can run the program without installing it.

i dont know what kind of internet connection do you have from Airtel. If it is through a router and not mobile ( BTW I cant think of controlling other pc without broadband) then you can visit

http://portforward.com/english/route...outerindex.htm

Select your router and then the application , which in your case is VNC. Jobs done( I hope)

you must metnioned your ip address default gateway and dns server of ur service provider eg:-192.168.1.100/24 ip 192.168.1.1 gateway and dns.
in case of a dial up u get a ip from service provider but subnet mask is 255.255.255.255 . i am unable to determine ur connection type in case of dialup u can connect to any pc via vnc any where in the world.

other utilitis u must try is log me in from www.logmein.com
