Slow broadband speed..due to Firewall??

I have youtele broadband and off lately I notice that when I use IE the browsing sped is very poor or sometimes the sites simply do not load. Sometimes it’s relatively OK with other browsers like Opera.
Interestingly if I shut down the Trend micro internet security, IE browsing fairly comes to a speed comparable to broadband. As such I have not changed any settings in Trend mirco. This issue has started since last 2 - 3 weeks!
Any comments or thoughts would be great. Thx

It seems Trend Micro is blocking traffic. In the firewall options, add IE (or any other browser) to the exceptions list. If you've already done it, disable the firewall when you browse.

yeah..firewall could slow your internet browsing speed..This is because of packet filtering and all..disable firewall

firewall is for use to safeguard you from certain threats online so turning it off is not really that advisible...

ditch trend micro and get another firewall..oops u use a security suite..so it came along with it..install another antivirus and then another firewall..

or disable the trend micro firewall feature/function and install zonealarm free
