Default Cannot Monitor Temperature of HardDisk.

Hii..
I want to monitor the temperature of my HardDrives but i am unable to do so.
I have tried using HddTemp (http://www.hddtemp.com)
It says "We cant find in your system any hard drives supports temperature"
other softwares are also unable to monitor.

I am using Vista.
HDD Models are ST3160827AS and ST3250824AS
My Bios shows that my HDDs supports SMART mode.

Earlier when i was using XP it used to show the temperature.

Whats the Problem..pls Help.

Hmmm.... Does your PC motherboard has nVidia chipset? It seems that nVidia chipset PCs running Vista have some issues regarding S.M.A.R.T. You may want to check these threads:

Okay, try this software:

thanks everyone for your help.... its much time now i have been googling for the solution....after which i have come to the conclusion thats its the problem with VISTA only..may be a chipset diver or any other i dont know.
