Default administrator password

Is there anyway to recover the administrator password for Windows XP without the Password reset disk? I have only the guest account and the single administrator account. I didnot create any password reset disk and will my neighbour's password reset disk work for me in my computer. Will my computer know that though I have not created a password reset disk and I am using one? I also have linux installed in the system.

i dont think ur neighbours disc will work.

If u have lost the password for the admin account that u created, do this: boot into safe mode by pressing F8 wen BIOS screen comes up. There u will c a new account called Administrator, login to that account and there u will have the option of changing the password of any account. Alternatively u can also press ctrl+alt+del at the logon screen during normal booting for administrator account.

Or google for it, u will find many utilities, i dont know one since i nvr needed one.
