Re: Hardware Price Check and Buying Advice Thread (Kolkata)
Sorry I couldn't inform you earlier, billamama. BSNL has been acting funny for the last 2 days.
Between MD Computers, Vedant Infotech and Technocrat, HDD prices are similar to what topgear posted in post #6365. I only enquired about 500GB and 1TB, though.
Really wish I had bought a 500GB or 1TB when the prices were 1600 and 2600 respectively!
Hey guys, anyone know where I can get case fans with WHITE LED lights? I'm pretty sure none are available in IT stores in Calcutta... Unless of course you take a normal case fan and DIY some white leds onto it

Re: Hardware Price Check and Buying Advice Thread (Kolkata)
@webdesigncut
Try Vedant Infotech. I bought D-Link n150 wireless router for Rs. 2030 all last month.
@Cool Comps,
Vengeance 4GB modules should cost ~2k.
@Others,
I got an offer of Rs. 11350/- for a Sapphire HD6870 from MD Comps today. Thinking about going for it. What say guys? Looking to upgrade from my aging MSI 9500GT

Re: Hardware Price Check and Buying Advice Thread (Kolkata)
I'm torn between choices
I was thinking along the lines of buying an HD6770 and waiting it out for Southern Islands' 78xx series. Fickle minded as I am...
I got an offer of Rs. 6600 all for the HD6770.

Re: Hardware Price Check and Buying Advice Thread (Kolkata)
^^ the deal you got on HD6870 is really good but better would be to wait for HD7850/70 but looking at the current trend it won't be cheaper - my assumption is HD7870 would be ~$400 and HD7850 around ~$350 - HD6870 is still good for HD game playing so investing a little more than $200 on it is still a good idea IMO
