Exclamation Is Indiaplaza.in reliable?

Hi, am planning to buy a book from indiaplaza.in(formerly fabmall.com) which is available at an unbelievbly low price. They have an option of paying in advance by cheque/DD.What i am worried about is that whether they are reliable or not? That is whether i will get the book after the payment is cleared. If any of you have bought anything from this site then pls let me know.Thanx in advance

I have bought books from online stores but not the two you mentioned. I bought from prakashbooks.com and indiatimes.com. I pay online from hdfc bank and the books reach me within 4-5 days. They also give good discounts. The sites you mentioned should be reliable since they are also popular. Long back, I used to order online and then send DD due to security fears. I have also bought computer parts (from other sites) like Antec and Coolermaster products online due to local non-availability, but not costly items.

@I've done a few of transactions from indiaplaza.in, mostly books and once a mobile worth 4k.

Found they're reliable. They called me up once since they were out of stock of the mobile model i've asked for, and gave me an upgraded version for the same prize.

They are a bit slow in delivery. Usually takes a week to get the packet.

All the transactions were online (either debit or credit cards), and was reliable.

XOMG!! where are all the Opera users???

newaz permorming 'fraud check' in Opera I get -
Quote:
This site has been verified by a trusted third party and is not listed on Opera's blacklist of suspected fraud sites.

Please report this site if you believe it should be blacklisted.
However there is no https and the site doesn't seem to have any security certificates.
Does that mean it will pass credit card information unencrypted!?

Read this post of mine
How does Creative Zen Stone 1 GB fare as a gift?

Now although I said I'll never buy from them, I must admit that I did buy the Harry Potter Book from them, and then Advani ji's biography, no issues.

I guess I can say, don't buy electronics from them. Books are ok, I haven't had any problems.

Edit: I also bought three novels form them at discount price, no problems, delivery in three days
