Gmail down
Even the giants need to take a break. lol
I was configuring my outlook and it kept giving me errors. This is what I got on typing gmail.com

I had never heard about or experience a Google downtime before.
Several threads on the Google Apps discussion forum show that users started reporting problems accessing the Gmail component of the suite at around 10 a.m. ET. A Google official who posts messages on behalf of the company in Google Apps discussion boards under the Google Guide name acknowledged passing on the complaints to the appropriate Google staffers in a thread at around 1:10 p.m. ET.

its tough to handle the overflow sometimes, but i say google has handled it pretty well....
they might have thought , ok time for a break....

I never experienced any downtime with gmail.  ...working fine for me...always.

So now I'm a spammer.
I was configuring POP settings in outlook.
And it is NOT an old image.
I just checked gmail and got this screen. Its google's problem why they've not updated the copyright date from 2005 to 2007
