YAMUNANAGAR: The police are investigating an alleged ragging case in which a youth was seriously injured when a group of seven youths attacked him with knives.

Daler Singh of Shankar Puri village in Jagadhri, who has been admitted in the civil hospital with head injuries, told the cops that the incident happened on Monday, when he had gone to Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Yamunanagar, for admission in mass communication and journalism course. He was accompanied by his elder brother Sher Singh and his friend.

‘‘We were in the canteen when I got a call that my motorcycle had fallen down. When we rushed out, we found a group of students standing there. They told us to remove our pants, but we refused. They attempted to use force on us, but we escaped. However, they managed to catch hold of my brother and attacked him with knives,’’ said Sher Singh.

Severe punishment and immediate termination from the course - That is what such students deserve.

Take the case of SME ragging (it turned to rape actually). Those guys got a 10 yr term in prison even though they tried using all their money, influence and going to the Supreme court. Nothing stopped the court to give them what they really deserve.

Umm I'm from Yamuna Nagar actually and this wasn't a case of ragging but actually of u can say "Gang Rivalry". Remember this, he had gone there for admission, he is not a student there so its not a case of ragging. Moreover social retards and rejects go to that college.
