Default Australia town bans bottled water

Source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/8141569.stm

A rural town in Australia has voted overwhelmingly to ban the sale of bottled water over concerns about its environmental impact.

Campaigners say Bundanoon, in New South Wales, may be the first community in the world to have such a ban.

They say huge amounts of resources are used to extract, package and transport bottled water.

The discarded plastic bottles then end up as litter or go into landfill sites, the "Bundy on Tap" campaign says.

lol...

Anyways, some people are making excellent profit by selling fake water bottles. Nowadays while travelling by train when you stop at a station, you'll find a flock of boys picking up empty bottles from the ground and from the train boggy. Then they fill them up with tap water and sell them with the same price and give the money to their master.

Some people couldn't distinguish between the fake one and real one(eve if they are sealed) in a hurry and end up paying the price for some ordinary tap water which is free for all.

Once on a train, a boy wanted to take my bottled water while i kept it on the floor. I even didn't drank it half.

I don't like this water bottle and packing things. As long as you are in a move or in a deserted place the water bottles are required. Can't you go and ask a person for water Who is more than happy to help a thirsted person?

That's what i will do. When i feel thirst when i am on the roads.... I will go and ask for a glass of water in one of the houses that are near to me. They will give me chilled water with a smile in their face.
