Default Websites 'keeping deleted photos'

Source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/8060407.stm

User photographs can still be found on many social networking sites even after people have deleted them, Cambridge University researchers have said.

They put photos on 16 popular websites - noting the web addresses where the images were stored - and deleted them.

The team said it was able to find them on seven sites - including Facebook - using the direct addresses, even after the photos appeared to have gone.

I guess nothing is private in the public world of Social networking
Same is the case with deleted emails, it might be removed from your inbox, but the service provider still has a copy of it stored on the server.
Twitter FTW!!

While testing my mobile blogging feature, I took a few test pics and uploaded to my blogspot blog. Later, I deleted them. About one month later, I accidentally logged into Picasa (I never use it) and found those deleted photos there.
