Default Anti-Obama protesters arrested in Bangalore

Anti-Obama protesters arrested in Bangalore
Quote:
BANGALORE: Some members of 'Anti-American Imperialism Forum', protesting
against US President Barack Obama's "Bangalore to Buffalo" remark were arrested
when they tried to forcibly enter Bank Of America, on M G road here on Wednesday.

About 25 protestors of the city-based outfit, carrying placards and shouting slogans - "Down, Down Big Brother Obama", "Buffalo has buffaloes, Bangalore has brains" "Osama terrorised innocent, Obama terrorises BPO workers" - were arrested when they tried to forcibly enter Bank Of America, deputy commissioner of Police (Central Division), G Ramesh said.

The agitators took out a protest march from Mahatma Gandhi statue to the Bank of America premises.

However they were later released. Obama recently said "say no to Bangalore and yes to Buffalo in New York", announcing end to years of tax incentives to those US companies which create jobs overseas in places like Bangalore. Instead, the incentives would now go to those companies which create jobs inside US, in places like the Buffalo city.

Their slogan - "Buffalo has buffaloes, Bangalore has brains" seems to suggest that they took umbrage at the word (city named) 'Buffalo' being used.

Stupids. Thats like beggers protesting that people stopped giving them money.

Instead of being dependant on US Companies who outsource their work to India, these people should launch their own companies if they want work in India.

As they say, a mob has many heads and no brains.

US want to protect its interest, so it is doing everything to keep others below it.

Its time for India to emerge as an independent nation completely.

ejjactly.

But you do have problems here - BPOs.

Most americans buy stuff through phone or the internet which is why Indian BPO companies benifit. But once americans hire only americans, how do you expect to create a demand for BPOs in India ? Indians use assembled computers, pirated windows, buy vegetables from local grocery store, etc. There is no room for a BPO here.

This sector grew unsustainably because once the dmand abroad stops, there is no internal market. China unlike India survives due to an internal market to support if external market goes out of order.

Moral of the story: always have backup plans
