Sikhs in Pakistan pay 20 mn to Taliban as jazia

Pakistan's Sikh community has been forced to pay Rs 20 million as jazia (religious tax) to the Taliban so as to return to their homes and resume business, a newspaper said on Thursday.
The minority Sikh community on Wednesday met the Taliban demand in return for "protection" in Orakzai Agency in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, the Daily Times reported.
The Taliban then released Sikh leader Sardar Saiwang Singh and vacated the community's houses. The militia announced that the Sikhs were now free to live anywhere in the area.
"They also announced protection for the Sikh community, saying no one would harm them after they paid jazia. Sikhs who had left the agency would now return to their houses and resume business," an official said.

I feel somewhere down the year the amount may increase as it always does with this situation.
Sikhs are it seems at the mercy of taliban there with no Pakistani govt or miltary to protect them.
How soon till the Taliban gets it hands on Pakistan Nuclear weapons ?

Taliban attacks Sikhs for non-payment of Jizya

Lahore,May 1 (ANI): The Taliban has expelled at least 50 Sikh families from the Orakzai Agency in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) after they failed to pay ‘Jazia’.

The Taliban had demanded 12 million rupees as protection money from the Sikhs, who have living in the region from hundred of years, but they could arrange only 6.7 million rupees.

Later, it was reported that the extremists occupied houses and shops of the Sikhs in Qasim Khel and Feroz Khel areas of the Agency and auctioned their valuables for 0.8 million rupees, The Daily Times reports.

Earlier, the Taliban had also demolished houses belonging to the Sikh community in the region.

The Taliban’s Orakzai Agency chief Hakeemullah Mehsud ordered the demolition of the houses after the Sikhs failed to meet a deadline fixed for delivering the protection money.

According to reports, many tribal families have started migrating to different parts of Hangu and Kohat out of fear of the Taliban action. (ANI)

Ohh yeah?? What you think is gonna happen with that 20 mn? They will buy more weapons and recruit more mofo terrorists and also buy a nuclear weapon with it if possible. I think taliban is in for a major war in the coming future.

PESHAWAR: Sikhs, living from centuries, are now resolving to say goodbye to Orakzai Agency and migrating to unknown places due to tensions in the region besides local Jirga also ordered them to pay annual protection money worth of 15 million rupees to militants.

According to sources, militants captured the shops and homes of 35 Sikh families and arrested the head of their community Klank Singh and Sewa Singh in the Ferozkhel area of Lower Orakzai Agency.

As a result, a local Jirga was held which pronounced 15 million rupees levied on Sikh community to be paid to militants as protection money at the end of every year.

Following the Jirga ruling, militants auctioned their houses and other belongings while Sikh community has started migrating from the area.

Wtf they mean by arrested, they fcuking abducted them on ransom ?
