Hey ppl,

I was just wondering if any illegal things are posted on a site for which the domain is registered by me and given to a friend who uses some other server for hosting,will get me in trouble......help needed if so what is the punishment

I dont think that there will be any trouble.

Just put a disclaimer on your website.And the webhoster should also be in your favor.
Especially if the website is hosted in Malaysia then there will not be any copyright problems.I have two forums and one blog,all with copyrighted contents.
