Monitor problem?

Sometimes my monitor is flashing with white color and I can see some parallel lines drawn on the screen. I m using HCL (HCM780M) monitor which is abt. 3 years old. What should I do to solve the problem?

is it a CRT ?? (i guess it it one) so, maybe its nearing its life, i mean the picture tube's a.k.a CRT = cathode ray tube's life..

Hv u tried setting it to a different resolution (to make sure its not a reso problem) ? also, do u see this problem of lines even at boot time or bios or jus wen the windows has been fully functional ??

if the problem is constant throughout, im sorry u dont hv any option but to look for a change..

thanks for ur comment. yes u r rit,its a CRT monitor. i also thinks that the life of my monitor is over. but sometimes it runs fi9 and coz of that i m not replacing it.letz c 4 how long it can last 4 me

^^ yup, there may be fluctuations, as it has neared its life span..

take ur own convenient time to replace it.. (but, hey ! i hope that it shud NOT corrupt ur other h/ware in this waiting process !!)
