Default IrDa Query

I came across the term Irda when i went mobile hunting. the dealer told me i can use an irda device to sync the mobile(K508i) with the pc. what i want to know is, what kind of device would i need, is it a plug and play device or is it different. and how much would it cost .

YES ! Windows XP will detect is and install drivers for it automatically. However you will be provided with a DRIVER CD with the package and if you wish you can install the CD driver which came with the product since the CD drive will also contain additional software for using your Irda Device. In general it is not required. XP will do everything for you.

winxp installs the required drivers when it first dedects the IrDa instrument...
like if you put phone...nokia 6020 or something
it also installes the Drivers for the modem.
