Thats depend upon the buyer, but not at all the case. Just make this a poll and collect info from all users who made a transaction in ebay...
But in my concern, it is good...

If you use Paisa Pay service. You are secure. The Seller doesnt get money until the buyer confirms that he has recieved the product

yeah this feature is very good and ensures that the buyer is not cheated.. a lot of similar features were introduced in the past 2 yrs that makes ebay a lot safer for buyers

I'm a ebay user from 2004 (since the bazee days) and have bought a lot of products..

few things you have to keep in mind are:

- read the product descriptions carefully and if u have any doubts, ask the seller before buying
- go through the user feedback of the seller, if there are a lot of -ve feedback its better to avoid. if the product is only available with the seller, see what feedback was given by buyers who bought the same product.
- give clear shipping address with landmarks if possible and a mobile number
- make all communication regarding trasactions to the seller via ebay messages so incase if there is any dispute ebay can clearly decide..

the seller will give the consignment no of the courier.. so the courier company website will show if it was delivered or not... if its misdelivered then you have to contact the courier company, but this is rare case

Even the local shopkeeper next door isnt secure if you think that wise. With amount of transactions taking place each day, and no. of fraud transaction Ratio, it is actually safe.

Problem is that lots of people spread false rumour that net shopping is full of frauds without even shopping even once. I shop and transact a lot on net and hardly have faced any FRAUD
