registry editing...

Hi...i jusr formatted my comp. 2 days ago due to a prob. Theproblem was that whenever i tried to merge a registry file wth the windows registry...a message came , "Registry Editing has been disabled by you administrator"....but now even after formatting...i still get that message....pls help!!!

What OS did you installed? Make it detailed.

OS : Windows XP Pro (SP1)

Go to Start> Run and type GPEDIT.MSC and press ENTER. Here navigate to User Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ System. Here set the status as "Not Configured" for the policy Disable registry editing tools and exit from Gpedit.
