Default How I can count?

I have written a guide in pdf on my site. I want to count how many people downloaded it. How can I do that?

I have a counter by www.statcounter.com but it only counts pageloads and not downloads of guide.

Upload your files on rapidshare free uploading service which can tell you that how many times it has been downloaded. Or you can do this link another page with the counter to the download button - the times the page loads is the time howmany downloads are done coz everytime a user click on the download button the another page open to tell him the download link. Hence the page counter gives you exact ratios as no. of downloads.

Cool site anyway though the bright red colour looks a bit goody.
