Default hanging pc

My pc often hangs when internet is connected. But before it runs smoothly. I can't understand whose problem is this? Do internet have any connection with pc's configuration? My pcs' configuration is amd athlon x64 4000+, 160gb sata harddisk, 512 mb ram, jetway NF-MCP61. I think my remory is too low. What would be the memory required? and also I install any antivirus, the pc gets hanged up.

May be there are some malwares in your PC, trying to connect to some site as soon as the PC connects to the internet. Hanging the Anti Virus installation is also a good indication of this.

Please download Hijackthis and run on your PC. Post the results here first.

I don't find anything in your HT log. 512 MB of RAM is usually enough. Try installing AVG or Avast!. They are really light on system resources.

Does it hang generally? I mean, when the PC's not connected to the net.

I do not see anything suspicious in the Hijackthis log. It might be that ur network drivers are doing the something to your PC, forcing it to hang.

Strangely I cant see the model of your mobo (jetway NF-MCP61) in the official website. Are u sure abt the name of the model and post it again.
