Actually merging two partitons is child play if u use Partion Magic. But u have messed up a bit. Everything will be fine after u remove Win98 but when it comes to merging C: and D: merges to be just C: Tht means ur Win XP won't work anymore due to the wrong links. Not only tht all other installed programs on other drives won't work since E: becomes D: and so on. The only way u got (I think so but i am not sure) is to start from scratch i.e to format everything and reinstall OS after merging. Things will be easier if u a linux Live cd like Knoppix

@ Sujith - Is it possible to create another partitioned drive using the existing partitioned drives[C/D to E] without formatting it using the software mentioned above?
