there is no amd 2800+ based on the socket 939 so the asus a8n-e mobo cant be used.

the hynix ram may not be available that cheap , min i think is for 2500-2700/-

what is the purpose of your new pc ?

budget is very very less for gaming though you can build a decent celeron based system.go for a ram which offers warranty like zion or something.also if u dont intend to use it for gaming then 256 mb of ram is sufficient.

for value gaming go for a amd 64 (754 pin ) 3000+ or 2800+ (if available , now d/c) with an asus k8n-e deluxe mobo. take a 80 gb sata hdd.

alternatively you can try
celeron 2.4 + intel orig 865 + 256 mb ram + 80 gb sata + liteon cd-rw + ibox cabinet + logitech value combo + 15" crt (lg/samsung/acer) etc
it will cost around 20 k then.

dude why would he go for a Celeron based alternative where in you can get the Sempron ones for a lesser price and more performance ?

take the config akshay suggested and replace the amd 2800 64 + asus 18n-e for abt 10.5 with Sempron 2600+ and the A7N8x mobo mate. The rest would still fit in easily in his budget.

hey buddy go for the following

amd sempron processor 2800+ (socket a)
asus a7n8x-vm-400 motherboard (choosing this as it has excellent integrated grafix)
seagate 80 gb (non sata , as mobo does not support sata)
256 mb 400 mhz ram (zion/kingston/transcend)
15" crt (lg/samsung)
logitech value combo (optical mouse+ mmkb)
any decent cabinet like ibox with 300w smps
liteon cd-rw

thats it i think , it will be a very very good value for money config and will allow you to play old games very well. but for newer games u will have to play at low settings or add an agp card later.

dude amd 2800 64 754 + asus k8n should be abt 10.k

512mb ddr 400 corsair costs 2800+tax
hynix shd be 2200-2500 at max 2500

abt 2335-2450 might be fine

try to go for d43 chips,may be better oc didn't darklord do it beyond 250.

dude the major problem with the k8n-e deluxe board is that it does not have onboard video .. this will increase his budget as he will have to buy a separate video card ... on the other hand the asus a7n8x-vm-400 has very good onboard integrated graphics based on the geforce mx 4000 chipset i think ..

some months agoo digit named celeron "Hopeless piece of silicon" nd they r so.
If u can stretch ur budgetr 2 k more then u would get a good amd64 2800 system...good for ganing
P4 is ok but looking to ur budget amd will suit u better.
If u cant fit in amd64 then go for sempron...lot lot lot lot better than celeron nd even non ht p4s

I thinck 2.4C wud better on a ASUS P4P-800 E delux
it features Wifi, 8channel audio but no integerated VGA u will hav 2 buy a AGP 8x Card and I think a 128 MB Geforce 4 Ti4200 --8x GFX card wud suffice u one from MSI costs nearly 5500 bucks

It wud give more FPS than a 5700LE
