My friend keeps getting this error in BSOD

***STOP: 0x000000EA (0x8223D2D8,0x1EC6200,0xF8975CBC,0x00000001)
nv4_disp

what could be the cause?

nv4_disp is a .dll file related to nVidia forceware drivers for Geforece series cards. Since there is a problem with that file in the PC, it's the forceware driver that is behind the BSOD thing.
