Default Remove Write protect


Friends i am unable to write data in my pendrive its saying

Error Copying File or Folder
---------------------------
Cannot create or replace TATA USB Drivers: The disk is write-protected.
Remove the write-protection or use another disk.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
Virus Guy is offline

not sure about the root of the prob.
but here r some specs that may help u

1. Be sure that the files u r trying 2 copy r not used by another process
2. try formatting ur Flash Disk. And then try copying again.

If this do not solve ur problem go to RUN and type devmgmt.msc and expand USB n see wheather there is any problem with your USB driver. It'll show a yellow sign if the driver hav any problem.

It may be due to virus also...........

or wait for other members to reply............!!!!!!!!!!

Friends i think it is disabled by the administrator its my brothers laptop given by the company i want to copy some softwares and some files on our home PC
i know the admin password

Friends Is'nt there any registry tweaks or something else to remove write protect of my pendrive.

Try to format the pen drive and then copy the things which you want to by logging into Administaror account, not the guest one, and check whether it's working or not...
