ok do this

Start->Run

type command and press enter

in the dos window navigate to C:\

type this

C:\fsutil dirty query C:
ull get two results

Drive C: is Dirty
Drive C: is not Dirty

similarly do for all the partitions i.e

C:\fsutil dirty query D: or E: so on

if it says Drive is dirty type this command

C:\chkntfs /D (note there is a space between chkntfs and /D)

then exit and restart this time let the chkdsk run after this it wont keep running again

P.S dont worry even if u have FAT32 jus type that chkntfs /D

the reason could be improper shutdown of the computer.

Go to Command Prompt and type chkntfs c: /x and press ENTER. Then restart. Does the Chkdisk runs again?

well if it comes again and again it cld be a problem with a bad sector.. do this.. disconnect one HDD and connect only one.. then run those commands and restart.. incase chkdsk runs let it.. then restart again if it again runs.. that drive could have the bad sectors.. if not connect both and try and check... make sure the HDD with the OS is connected..

Try chkdsk /f c:

I think that should fix it.
