Frequent Disk Defragmentation

Is it a good idea to defragment a partition even if the Anaylser says "No need to defragment"?

Too frequent defragmentation is bad, stresses your hard disk a lot. Probably should use around once every 15 days

I haven't ever seen analyser advising me to defragment the disk. But you should regularly do so, say at an interval 15 days or a month depending on how much you use computer.

i wud suggest only to defrag once in a month,for partition storing music files and video dont need defragmentation

Defragging partitions depends on your usage... The Windows partition may need to be defragged every 15-30 days... But other partitions may depend on how frequently you use it and what file system is used... Fat32 partitions are more fragmented by nature compared to NTFS partitions... Partitions with more common write operations are likely to be more fragmented...

So, you need to work out by analysing the partitions regularly to figure out how often you need to defrag your various partitions...
