Cannot Run DOS Files !!! Whats The Error ???

Hi Guys,
When I try to play this game PARATROPER (7 KB) It says:-

Can some one tell me what must have went wrong ?????? :roll: :roll:

Not Just The above game It happens with all the 16 bit application !!!

I am Running Windows XP Service Pack II With NTFS file system !!!

I know that, had the same problem, its due to a virus, Run ur virus scan, it slowly destroys ur system, it;ll slow it down like hell. Other guys could help u better, i'm not that much into these...

By the way i had to re-install xp.

U could also go for repair of the os using ur xp cd.

I dont think its bcoz of virus

but my comp doesnt run these

Yes its true that its not a virus. Very hot issue with SP2 aftermath(Even though its happening from long time b4 that). Happened and still happening.

Hey!!... no need of Repair or Reinstallation. Chk the post provided by it_waaznt_me.

ok, so its not a virus, but i had this problem b4 sp2 was released, around september 2004, looks like i had a virus with this problem also...as i had some system problems, my browsers, antivirus etc had stopped working, couldn't change, edit user accounts etc, thanks guys u cleared my doubts

lol..... u guys....do u have to blame everything on viruses.......gosh.....
anyways here is the solution:
it is an OLD dos game thus use DOSbox..... it is an emulator for the really old DOS machine. ie. for the machine it was made.....
so get DOSbox here: http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/

Use it and reply promptly...... lol
