A small WEbsite related question

hi..

i am running a blog of my own...

off lately i found that i can see the whole listing of the website files using

www.xxxxxblog.com/?

with that "?" i was able to see the directory listing ...

is it safe to show the files to public ??

if not how to stop showing it,...

please help...

Try setting the files' permission to 755 or 744. Permission 744 will lock anyone else from executing the files on the server, so it will be safer.

Yeah select all files in the "/" folder.

The tricks displayed there are more advanced to play with. Someone should try them only when the simpler tricks would not work, because toying with .httaccess can be dangerous and might bring a constant redirection loop.
