Floppies r dead. Get a usb flash drive instead. Just check if ur mobo supports booting from USB device first.

Sony floppy drives.
But consider going for a CD-Writer. You can buy a CD-RW for 4-5 times the cost of a floppy and can reliably use it at least 20 times more.

Dont think there are many choices available.
For 1.4MB FDD ,sony is taken for granted.
I use my fdd almost every six months when
i upgrade my softwares.

A recent article in Economic Times says how outdated floppy drives are. Check out this link on http://www.economictimes.com
Floppy disk part of IT history now

i think once in a while you will still come across some odd hardware , which will have their drivers on the floppy. People are talking about buying a sony floppy disk drive...........i don't think there are any original ones left in the market. Do buy any brand and keep........just in case. It is soo cheap that this should not be a major buying decesion. A pen drive would be the ultimate solution to store and transfer data.
