Default Apc Ups


my apc (back-up es 650) UPS makes beep sound at certain intervels when power goes off.is there anyway i can turn the beep sound off?

The beeper is intended to warn you that you are running on battery power. If it bothers you that much, you can open the UPS and disconnect the buzzer, or have a techie do it for you. But it may void the warranty if you have any left.

i turned the beep sound off. there is software called "APC PowerChute Personal Edition" that comes with APC ups , in that software u can configure to turn off the alarm sound.

Well you could also just about take your UPS to any electrician, make him open it up and remove the beeper! I'll be doing that one of these days. Screw the warranty, this is my sanity at stake.

Thats the easiest and best way to do it dude!
also you will get additional features with it(i use automatic shutdown and switch on feature).. but dont forget to plugin the usb cable came with the ups to the computer
