2 PC Connection

I have got 2 lappys so i wanna connect them to play games.
I want to know what things i will require to setup the 2 lappy connection from softwares to hardware.... and what is hamachis relation to it

hamachi has no relation to it..it just simulates a virtual lan thru internet.
U just need a crossover lan cable with RJ 45 pins at both ends and just connect em.
then u must assign ip addresses for both like 192.168.0.1 nd the othr one with 0.2 and u can frag on!!!

yes u can connect through WI-Fi also..
I guess u need to pair as we do for bluetooth devices..thats it..
and LAN cable costs somewhere around 14-15 per meter.

I have connected my two laptops via wifi. But when i open the my 1st laptop in 2nd one or vice versa it asks for username and password and i have kept neither of them.

As I told u, U will need to pair them as we do in Bluetooth.
However , I m not too sure about that, never handled a wi-fi connection myself.
also,what exactly do u mean by opening PC 1 in PC 2...is it opening shared files or trying to log on to first system from second one.if u r trying to access files then might be simple file sharing is disabled on first machine and thats why it asks u to authenticate.if u r trying to connect remotely, that is logging on.then it will always ask for username/pass.
