Default Power Consumption


Guys,

lemme know how much power is consumed by PC?
Is it less then TV (not LCDTV)?

i have a discussion with F***ING tv repairer here. He says computer consumes more than tv but I am not agree with him.

pc( full system including the monitor) consumes more power than TV's

a pc usually consumes 400W+
tv's are much lower

I d/load stuff from torrents at night time from 00.00 hrs to 08.00 hrs keeping the CPU and Router ON along with the UPS connection.. even then its 400Watts ???

ur computer draws varying power...at full load it can consume close to 300-400 watts.
thats excluding monitor.under normal circumstances its the monitor which consumes more power than CPU(ever wondered why ur UPS gives very less backup when monitor is ON).similarly at boot time CPU consumes comparatively more power..
so one can't tell the exact figures for a PC...but yes..it consumes far more power than a TV does.
