Is Craigslist a safe place to buy computers?

I have just now found out about a laptop in Craigslist that i have interest in. But I am not assured that it is working correctly. So I wanna know if any of you have bought things in ebay or stuff like that. So, any of you have bought stuff in eBay and found out it was damaged?

While ebay provides some form of protection, craigslist is totally open. So beware of what you buy. However, craigslist is meant to be more local than international, and I would advise you to buy from within the country.

The best way is to setup a video conference and see the product before you buy it .
