Problems in connecting tv to the computer

hi,

my firend has a grphic card(nvida GeForce7300SE) and he tirend to connect the tv to the computer. And it will start fine untill the windows xp sp2 bootup screen, then bingo..! the picture is gone in tv. Its a normal tv. He is connecting the tv with a s-video to RCA connector(yellow one). what should he do.

I have a doubt, he is having 19"wide screen but not a great gaming rig (like me). So, he sets the resolution of the games to 640X480 which renders poor textures on a widescreen LCD monitor. So, if we connect the tv to a pc, i think we can play the games with good image quality as the tv maximum resoultion is 800X600. Please help him.

What configuration did you opted for? It seems that you have not configured the computer for the same.
I always use "Dual View" and it works for me.
Also you can choose details like resolution, TV standard (PAL/NTSC), refresh rate for TV separately in the nvidia configuration utility.
