Default Upgrading RAM

Hey guys,
I have a Fujitsu S6240 laptop bought 3-4 years ago. I now have 512MB RAM. My computer is really slow so I am deciding to upgrade that 512MB. I want to upgrade to 1GB if possible. Also how can I check how much the RAM's maximum GB it can hold? Does this computer support DDR2?

Install and run CPU- z, or Everest Home Edition.
This will give full hardware information of your system to you.

Lavalys, the makers of Everest, stopped developing the free Home Edition quite some time ago, and I don't think it's available for download from their website anymore. However, you can download the last free version v2.2 from third party sources such as softpedia.com.

For CPU-Z, go to http://www.cpuid.com
