Default Can you reccomend a free HTML editor (Simple or Wysiwyg)?


Hi,

I am in need of a good html editor for Windows or Linux. Can anyone reccomend a good freeware HTML editor?

Try here. You can also use Mozilla Composer bundled with Mozilla Suite.

1st Page 2000 for Windows. Download it from http://www.evrsoft.com

For Linux, my PCQ Linux 2005 has one good tool already installed in Developer's section. I think it is a pretty common tool. I will let you know the name as soon as I get back to that machine.

Both these tools that I am talking about are *NOT* WYSIWYG editors. So if you want WYSIWYG editors, take what swatkat has recommended.

Mozilla composer is a great WYSIWYG editor for both platforms, I recommend trying it out.

If you want a non WYSIWG editor, Bluefish would be a good one for linux - http://bluefish.openoffice.nl/

Try EditPlus.
Its a Fast and Easy to use HTML Editor Here is the Link For the shareware version ftp://ftp.editplus.com/epp212_en.exe
Only 1mb. N Joy
And here is the Spell Cheker Addin for EditPlus
